A childhood in Yverdon-les Bains, biology studies in Lausanne, a post-doc in Boston, trips around the world and a passion for acrylic painting.

Yolande Buchmüller Rouiller paints to express and share her emotions. She likes travelling through her imaginary worlds, guided by the present moment, which already changes and flies away. What remains is the print of her state of mind and feelings, a palette of varied and contrasting colors.

Paintings are made on canvas and wood. Using rollers, palette knives and brushers, the acrylic paint is mixed with various materials, such as sands from various visited countries, soil, or wood chips.
